KILMORE TOTOTA PAR 3 CLASSIC REPORT 2024.
A very cold south wind greeted the 110 players Sunday morning. Entries were received from Barham, Craigieburn, Growling Frog, Hidden Valley, Nagambie, RAAF Williams Laverton Base, RACV Country Club & Romsey Golf Clubs. The field consisted of 4 Juniors, 48 non- handicap players and 48 with handicaps. The non -handicap section is extremely popular for players who want to take part in a competition without a handicap. More and more players are entering this section and it was pleasing to see many familiar faces who continue to return each year especially the Melbourne contingent.
The Hit the Keg competition sponsored by Woolworths was once again popular and won by Steve Dove from 6 other contenders. Free sausages kept the field happy and Shane & Jim busy. The two volunteers on the drink’s carts were also kept busy all day.
There were many helpers before and on the day including several non- members and the Club does thank them for their support.
The Club also wish to thank the many sponsors (19 in all). Once again Toyota Kilmore was the Major Sponsor. The Toyota car offered as a prize for a Hole in One was nearly won with a player landing his ball 9 cm from the hole. Maybe more luck next year.
The $1000 offered for a Hole in One on the 7th is still in the hands of Kingsgate Village once again. A hole in one on this hole has been won by one of our members on a normal competition day so it can be done.
